SABC 2’S Colour Your Plate with Koo is back for season two with a more suspense-filled cooking competition.

The pots are ready to get cooking and prizes valued at R500 000 are ready to be won.

The second season kicked off last night, 6 September, and will air every Tuesday night at 7pm with one of the main judges, Chef Reuben Riffel.

The competition will run for 13 weeks where contestants will square up.

During the competition, weekly mega prizes are up for grabs as Koo brings viewers its long tradition of being Mzansi kitchens’ best friend.

The first episode started with five potential cooking stars who all had an hour to showcase their cooking skills to the judges using the ingredient of the week – Koo baked beans.

Author and TV presenter Kamini Pather was the guest judge.

The guest judges to expect during the show are superstar singer, songwriter, and actor Bobby van Jaarsveld, Springbok Sevens Rugby champion Seabelo Sanatla, reality TV star Rushda “RushTush” Moosajee, media personality and social media star Lasizwe Dambuza and lastly TV personality and reality star Mpumi Mops.
