MZANSI’S biggest celebrity boxing match is underway in Sun City Resort in Rustenburg, North West.
The much-anticipated match will see popular rapper Refiloe “Cassper Nyovest” Phoolo stepping into the ring with musician and actor Anga “Naak Musiq” Makubalo.
Speaking to Daily Sun ahead of the match, Cassper said he was excited to be taking on Naak Musiq.
“I am excited about this fight. I know that Naak Musiq will bring his A-game. We are both very strong-willed, and this will definitely be one for the books. I just know that the title is mine.”
On the other hand, Naak Musiq also said he was ready to take the title.

“I love a good challenge. I respect Cassper as an entertainer and businessman; I saw an opportunity and ran with it. I am ready to battle it out in the ring – man to man. It will be a spectacular show. I am also blessed with the best training team that keeps me motivated. Fans must come and watch the fight.”
The event is part of #CelebCity, a three-day entertainment take-over hosted at the resort.
This is a second public face-off for Cassper, who went round for round with YouTuber Slik Talk last December.
The match will be broadcast live on SuperSport Variety 4 (DStv channel 209) at 6pm and Channel O (DStv channel 320).
