MALCOM X and three police officials' corruption case has been postponed to May.
This comes after the self-proclaimed philanthropist Malcolm X (57) and three officers, Desmond Campbell Kekana (52), James Mpho Sekhaolela (45), and Raymond Mphuwa Mokaile (38) made a brief appearance in the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 20 February.
The accused are all facing two counts of corruption, alternatively, and extortion.
The magistrate said they must be available on Wednesday, 29 May, as their matter has been postponed for further investigations.
She said their bail was extended.
The accused were told to continue reporting to their nearest police stations.
Their defence lawyer argued that some have commitments, and May is far.
On 23 November 2023, the accused appeared briefly in court and their case was postponed to Thursday, 20 February.

On 26 October, during their first court appearance, they were all granted R10 000 bail each.
They're accused of participating in corrupt activities when they solicited gratification amounting to R580 000.
According to the police statement, this was for a complainant to avoid arrest. During the court proceedings, the accused pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The accused argued that they needed bail because they had families and children to feed. They also mentioned that they were the sole providers of their families.
After granting them bail, the magistrate said the accused must not interfere with any witnesses or the complainant's family.
They were also told to adhere to their bail conditions as their case is still on.
After court, Daily Sun approached Malcolm X for comment, and he still maintained that his defence lawyer didn't want them to talk to the media until the matter was complete.
