BRYONI Govender is making Mzansi proud as she was named one of the top 10 silver finalists in Miss Universe 2023's Voice For Change and remains one of the front-runners to take the Miss Universe title.
The 26-year-old attorney from Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni spoke about her advocacy campaign during the Voice of Change, which will help educate women about their legal rights.
To make her campaign as effective as possible, Bryoni has teamed up with the Social Impact team at global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright to focus on access to justice projects.
The three gold Voice for Change winners will be announced during the Miss Universe pageant finale in El Salvador on Saturday, 18 November. It will be broadcast live on SABC3 from 3am on Sunday, 19 November and repeated later the same day at 8pm.

This week, Bryoni also revealed another of her pageant dresses, a stunning gold preliminary gown designed by William de Beer, designer and owner of Willet Designs Couture. The rich mineral landscape of South Africa inspired it.
Bryoni previously told Daily Sun that her dream was always challenging the status quo.
"It was to have my voice heard and to live in purpose, and I'm finally doing that," said Bryoni.
She said she entered Miss South Africa in 2018 and after making it to the top 12, she walked away and prioritised her education.
"I knew that if I decided to come back to the competition, I needed to have a voice of relevance because when I spoke, people would listen. I needed to have something of value to say, and that's exactly what I did," she said.
South Africans are encouraged to vote for Bryoni with online voting now open via the official Miss Universe app; the contestant earning the most votes will get an automatic placement in the semi-finals.
