FORMER Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Brian Baloyi is set to celebrate his 50th birthday in style.
Brian, who is affectionately known as Spiderman, in partnership with Netmarks Media, will host Baloyi’s Charity Golf Day at Zebula Golf Estate in Limpopo on 26 April.
Part of the money raised will go towards helping the needy children.
Netmarks Media spokeswoman Rethabile Molefe said they are thrilled to be part of the event.
"The golf day is not just about swinging clubs, it’s about making a meaningful impact. We aim to raise funds for kids in the local area, with 100 backpacks and school shoes," said Molefe.
She said the backpacks can be converted into chairs and desks to be used in the classroom.
Molefe said they extend an invitation to businesses and individuals who wish to take part in the golf day through sponsorship or playing in the event.

Brian's manager, Baleseng More said there are a lot of events lined up for the celebration.
“After the golf day, there'll be a gala dinner to raise funds, which will be used to help needy children. In every event that we're going to host there'll be something that will be channeled to the community," said Baleseng.
She said Brian is also running a project that teaches up-and-coming goalkeepers.
“Through his goalkeeping skills, he uses facilities at a school based in Sandton in the hope that the same project will be taken to all the nine provinces as soon as product and monetary sponsors come on board."
A four-ball will cost R4 000 and to sponsor a hole is R15 000.
