LEGENDARY Jazz guitarist and award-winning vocalist, Gloria Bosman, has died.
She was 50 years old.
Her friend, Mande Music confirmed her death to Daily Sun.
"I confirm, yes she passed away," Mande said.
Her death has left her family and fans reeling in shock as the singer was full of life.
She had just released a self-titled album in February this year and had a string of upcoming performances and interviews lined-up.
The cause of the death has not yet been revealed by her family, but several of her industry colleagues have shared their tribute to the singer.
Gloria was born in Mofolo, Soweto and raised in Pimville.
The well-known singer made a name for herself worldwide as one of the most respected vocalists in the jazz industry.

She has a long list of honours, including two South African Music Awards and more than 11 nominations as well as two KORA nominations, just to mention a few.
According to her biography, Gloria’s passion and career ignited in the church choir. A production in 1993 at the Market Theatre earned her an opera scholarship at the then Pretoria Technikon.
This year, she was appointed as a member of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (Samro) board of directors.
She leaves behind a daughter and granddaughter.
