THE Sun Arena at Times Square in Tshwane was filled with the sounds of soul as R&B lovers sang along to the American group, Boyz II Men on Wednesday, 1 November.
The group is in Mzansi as part of their tour and will also perform at Sun City Superbowl in North West on Saturday, 4 November and Durban's ICC Hall on Sunday, 5 November.
One of the group members, Shawn Stockman said they are happy to be in South Africa.
“So far it’s been one of the most memorable and most beautiful experiences we’ve ever had as a group,” he said.
He said people must enjoy every moment they get in life.
“Since we are here, we might as well enjoy this moment. The point is, this moment is special, you know why? Because it will never happen again. So why not enjoy this moment and forget about what you did in the past and what you will do in the future.
"Life is about moments. This is all about enjoying your life and tonight we are going to celebrate life,” he said.
Shawn said their concert was not just a concert but was a connection.

“We all have spirits and souls that we have to captivate. We do all that through our music and we’ve been doing this thanks to beautiful people like you for over 30 years,” he said.
He said they don’t take 30 years for granted.
“We understand what 30 years means. It means that all of you people for 30 years have enjoyed our music, our vision and how we view life. That’s the connection,” he said.
He said their concerts and music prove that people can get along.
“We proved to the world tonight that if everyone wanted to get along in this world, we really could. Please take this as a note, this isn’t just singing songs. This is a purpose and the reason we are here tonight,” he said.
Boyz II Men have a huge catalogue of music, with hit songs such as The Color of Love, End of the Road, Make Love to You, A Song for Mama and On Bended Knees.
