THE big plan for Minister Nathi Mthethwa’s R22 million flag has put him in the worst position within the entertainment industry.

And this as the minister of sport, arts and culture already had a sour relationship with artists.

After announcing the installation of the flag monument, many people expressed their outrage over the project.

However, the minister will be going ahead with the project as planned, making people even more outraged.

And one such person is media personality Bonang Matheba, who lashed out at him on social media on Tuesday, 17 May.

Taking to Twitter, Bonang said he was useless and she hated him because he didn’t know what he was doing.

Commenting on a video of the minister on eNCA, chatting to JJ Tabane about the project, she wrote: “Fire this man. Please.”

In another tweet, she wrote: “You have no clue what you’re doing. Go away! @NathiMthethwaSA.”

The presenter continued: “You’re useless and we all hate you @NathiMthethwaSA.”

People supported Bonang’s tweets, saying the flag was unnecessary and an insult to taxpayers.

They also applauded her for standing up to the minister as she was doing what most celebrities had been afraid to do.
