FORMER Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala has penned a letter to her body.

The mother of two shared that she missed her tiny waist.

“In my times, before Mr Tshabalala and the two unemployed relatives called Owethu and Kgoshigadi happened. Dear tiny waist, I miss you. Dear body, I’m done making babies. Let’s reunite please, I want you back. Maybe not you as you were. I’m happy about the bigger bum and boobs, mara waist I want you back,” she wrote.

The pageant executive also shared that she was now going to take losing weight seriously.

“My daughter is a year old and I have a rule that once my children turn one, I seriously focus on losing the weight. Our bodies go through so much during the process of pregnancy and giving life. So, this is a reminder to all mums that we all go through this journey – where you feel like you’re stuck in someone else’s body. So, be kind to yourself; be gentle with yourself and take it easy. Ignore the social pressures and nurture your little one. And then when you’re ready, awaken the beast.”

Bokang is not the first celebrity to open up about the challenges of pregnancy.

Media personality Bontle Modiselle said she also faced challenges.

“I know my pregnancy journey looked easy. My approach was deliberate. Intentional! I made certain to dance my way through it,” she said.

However, she shared that she experienced difficulties that she never spoke about on social media, about going through two miscarriages before the successful birth of her baby, Afrika, last year.

“I’ll speak openly about the fears that challenged and had me asking myself if I would ever be woman enough to create and carry life through. But for now, I want to remain and bask in the glory of not being a victim of what once hurt me immensely, but being the victor of the mummy I am.

“So, bring on the swelling, discolouration, stretch marks, soft spots and cellulite. I’m not immune. Let me have a field day with the sleepless nights, countless nappy changes and random cries trying to figure out what she needs,” she wrote.
