Battle of the Giants competition promises fun for dancers showing off their new moves.

ONE of Mzansi’s largest competitions, Battle of the Giants All Style Dance Festival, is returning after a two-year break due to Covid-19.

The internationally recognised competition will be celebrating its 30th year by hosting various dance schools from all over the country.

Dancers will showcase their latest styles and choreographed performances for both local and international judges.

Event organiser Bev Wood said they were grateful for the support this year, considering the current economic climate.

“Dance styles that will be performed are hip-hop, modern, show dance, freestyle, disco, popping, break, street as well as tap, ballet, jazz, Latin and ballroom. We also have a section for traditional styles such as pantsula, gumboot, African, Bollywood, sbujwa and breaking crews,” said Bev, adding that the competition also forms part of one of the qualifier events in the World Trial Circuit programme.

Tickets are available at Computicket. The event takes place from 21 to 24 April at Sun City Resort.
