Housemates consoling Liema after finding out her gogo died.

BIG Brother Mzansi housemate, Liema Phantsi's grandmother has died.

Her grandmother died on Thursday, 15 February, and Big Brother called Liema (21) to let her know about the ordeal.

Her team, which also manages her social media platforms, confirmed the news on X and Facebook.

"Rest in peace to Liema's beautiful granny.

She raised Liema, and we know how much she meant to Liema; we pray that her soul continues to rest in peace. Amen," they wrote.

Liema told her fellow housemates that Big Brother gave her two options.

She has been given an opportunity to either leave the game to attend her granny's funeral, which means she will leave the house forever, or she can stay in the game and not attend the funeral.

Liema hasn't made her decision yet.

It's been a rollercoaster for Liema since entering the house. She got into a relationship with fellow housemate, Jareed, but it didn't end well.

They are currently in a love triangle with Mpumi.

Liema also got into a fight with Jareed and spat on his face twice.

She faced charges of threatening violence and employing offensive language. As a result, she was issued a strike.

If she gets two more strikes, she will be disqualified.
