AMAPIANO star Mfana Kah Gogo is going back to school after a one-year break to raise funds for his tertiary education.
Mfana Kah Gogo whose real name is Sipho Mbonambi completed his matric at Fundinduku Secondary School in 2022 and could not continue with his tertiary education due to funds.
The 19-year-old musician from Zwelibomvu Village outside Pinetown, west of Durban told Daily Sun that he will be doing a hospitality course in 2024.
“Because I cook music in the studio and dish it out for music lovers, now I want to cook delicious food as well.
“I want to do both music and hospitality and I don’t think I will have a problem because with hospitality, I will go out looking for work. I’m doing it because I want to do it as a business,” he said.

He said he applied to many tertiary institutions, and he will wait for those who will accept him.
Mfana Kah Gogo has released two single songs titled Phathaphatha and Smoke, dedicated to giving music lovers fun moments during the festive season.
He said the song Phathaphatha is soft piano aimed to remind people of the good old days and memories.
“This is a family song aimed to remind people of the nice days of Phathaphatha when many people came together during Christmas and played Phathaphatha songs and danced together.
He said with Smoke he is introducing a new genre which is gqomyano which is a mixture of amapiano and gqom music.
“I’m just sending a message to my rivals that they will not see me when they compete with me, but they will just see the smoke,” he said.
