THE case against amapiano star Maphorisa has been postponed until 14 June.
This was after the musician appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday, 8 May, for the alleged assault case of his girlfriend, actress Thuli Phongolo.
The Abalele hitmaker, whose real name is Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, was seen wearing a black top and black hat.
Media houses were not allowed to film the court proceedings.
The 30-year-old producer's case was heard in the afternoon.
Phongolo filed a withdrawal statement and was in court, where she agreed for the accused to be released on bail.
Magistrate Clement Mukhodobyane granted him bail of R4 000.

"You must not be in contact with her. Even on social media platforms. I hope you understand," he said.
Mukhodobyane said even if Thuli filed for withdrawal, it didn't mean he must be in touch with her.
He said Thuli would be going to his place to collect her stuff.
State Prosecutor Collin Sono said Maphorisa was arrested on Sunday, 7 May, after a case of assault was reported at Sandton Police Station.
According to the NPA spokeswoman Phindi Mjonondwane, Maphorisa allegedly hit Thuli and strangled her at his apartment after she confronted him about an incident that happened the previous night where he was booked to perform.
Phongolo arrived at the court with her team, hiding her face from the press. She did not even want to speak to the media regarding this matter.
The case was postponed for further investigation.
