The artist's banger Mnike with Tumelo_za and featuring DJ Maphorisa, Nandipha808, Ceeka RSA, Tyron Dee has topped the Spotify chart as the most listened to amapiano song in the evenings, which the streaming platform has classified as dinner time.
It was then followed by Lady Amar, Cici, Murumba Pitch’s hit Hamba Juba, then Bhebha by Shaunmusiq, followed by Soa Mattrix with Mina Nawe and finally sitting at number five is Myztro’s hit - Myztro Ah Ah.
Spotify’s lead music strategist and operations officer, Warren Bokwe said the platforms new data from the streaming platform was able to pinpoint what sonic pairings South African GenZs are whipping up at mealtimes which is how Mnike has now made it on that list
With just over 6,7 million views on YouTube, it's no doubt that Mnike has won the hearts of many groovist since its release in April.

On Saturday, 1 July Spotify kept the streets of Braamfontein in Joburg on fire when they launched their Greasy Tunes, a month-long experiential pop-up, which pairs South African food with music.
The layout of the venue is inspired by township kota cafes, with outdoor table tennis strategically placed throughout, mini pool tables with snack servings of skopas and everyone’s all-time favorite slap chips served kasi-style
Speaking at the launch, Spotify's Sub-Saharan Africa managing director Jocelyne Muhutu-Remy said the platform has witnessed the undeniable power of audio in spreading South African culture and trends, both within the continent and worldwide.
"Greasy Tunes, with its embodiment of South African culture and trends, represents an expansion of this influence by blending music and cuisine in a beloved city that resonates with countless individuals," Jocelyne said.
