AMAPIANO duo Group Chat has plans of taking over the world through their music.
The girl group, made up of Mmalehlohonolo “Nolo M” Mokoena (22) and Sinentlanhla “Nay” Sotshongani (23), wants to take their music out of Mzansi.
In December, the duo released a song called Feel Nice with Ghanaian artist Kuami Eugene.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Nolo and Nay spoke about their plans.
“We recently worked on an international project. We are doing quite a lot recently. The goal is to ultimately make a name for ourselves outside of Mzansi. We don’t just want to inspire and touch lives here at home because we know that we have a lot to offer,” said Nolo.

They also released another single titled Mama last month, which is available on all streaming platforms.
Speaking about the song, they said it was inspired by the love they’ve received from their mothers.
"The love my mother gave me as a child paved how I treat others. It has also taught me to be humble and to care for others,” said Nolo.
“To me, the song Mama can be the track you can dedicate to your mother instead of those long text messages of appreciation. It’s a summarised version of the messages we often send our mothers on Mother’s Day. This song is about the love, support and protection they’ve given us throughout the years, it’s a beautiful song that’s everything and more,” said Nay.

The dynamic duo is less than a year old and promises to drop more hits going forward.
“We didn’t know each other before the group. We met through the auditions that were held by our record label, The African Gong Gang and we’ve been working with each other since,” said Nay.
“Getting to know each other has been great, especially because we have the same taste in music. Like when a new album comes out and I love it, I always share it with her and I know we’ll enjoy the same songs and it’s been quite good honestly,” said Nolo.
