AFRO-SOUL singer Luyanda Zitulele (28) is set to embark on a tour to promote his debut EP, titled Thetha Nabo.

The EP consists of eight songs that blend various genres, including gospel and Afro-soul/folk music.

“The EP is filled with uplifting and inspiring messages. On this EP, I focused on the subject of love, faith and hope,” Luyanda said.

He said one of the highlights is the song where he featured a talented musician who has won a Metro award, Zuko SA.

"The song showcases my unique blend of soulful vocals and captivating melodies. This album has received a positive feedback from listeners and has helped me to gain recognition in the music circles,” he said.

Luyanda said with this tour, he aims to touch the hearts of listeners and inspire them to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges.

The musician was born in Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape and has a background in fashion and photography, but found his true calling in music.

“I've got a passion for creating soulful and meaningful music that resonates with my audience. My journey in the music industry started in Johannesburg, where I initially pursued a career in fashion and photography. However, I eventually realised that my true calling was music, so I decided to focus on it,” he said.

In 2022, Luyanda released his debut single titled Thetha nabo, meaning talk to them.

He said he draws his inspiration from a variety of musical genres, such as Afro-soul, mbaqanga and gospel.

“I want to create a platform for talented artists from my community so they can showcase their craft. My ultimate goal is to become a renowned musician who not only creates great music, but also use my influence to make a positive impact in the world,” he said.

Luyanda said he dreams of touring the world, collaborating with other talented artists and spreading love, peace, and unity through music.
