LEGENDARY actress Connie Chiume’s name is being used by scammers for their own benefit.
On Sunday, 14 August, the 70-year-old took to Instagram to issue a warning about several social media accounts that were scamming people using her name, claiming to be investors.
Connie wrote: “Please be aware of these fake accounts and WhatsApp scams in my name. I know nothing about trading or investments in dodgy companies and schemes. Be careful guys.”
The actress, who plays Mam’ Sonto on Mzansi Magic drama series Gomora, also urged people to report the fake accounts.
“My official TikTok account is @conzaachiume with no underscore or numbers – just me. Please be aware of scams and help me report these chancers.”
