MNCEDISI SHABANGU WILL BE LAID TO REST THIS WEEKEND ON THE 30TH JULY

SOUTH African actor, playwright and theatre director Mncedisi Shabangu’s funeral and memorial service details were shared by his family on Tuesday, 26 July.

Mncedisi died on Sunday, 24 July at his home in Mpumalanga.

The veteran actor, who died aged 53, is said to have suffered from chest pains the night before he drew his last breath.

His death has left many people in the industry heartbroken as Mncedisi played a huge role in the entertainment scene.

His family released a statement seen by Daily Sun with the dates of his funeral and memorial service.

His funeral will take place at the Alliance Church of South Africa in kaNyamazane, Mpumalanga on Saturday, 30 July.

His life will be celebrated at the Market Theatre on Wednesday, 3 August at noon and on Thursday, 28 July in kaNyamazane’s Alliance Church of South Africa at 1pm.

Mncedisi was the winner of several awards, including the 2004 Standard Bank Young Artist Award.
