SEASON two of e.tv’s telenovela, Smoke & Mirrors, is coming with a massive change.
This is because they will change one of the lead characters, Ceaser.
The character, played by Zolisa Xaluva, will be replaced by Hlomla Dandala on Tuesday, 16 April.
Season one ended on Monday, 15 April, and a new season starts on Tuesday, 16 April.
Hlomla, who was recently on The River, said he’s happy to be back on e.tv.
He was on the channel as Siseko Langa on Scandal! in 2016.
“This is an exciting challenge for me. The character of Caesar is loved by our viewers. My aim is to please and ensure that I deliver as a performer. Playing a villainous character such as Caesar will surely bring the best out of me.
“But more than anything, I’m excited to be back with the eFamily, and I look forward to a real joyride as we enter the second season of the show,” he said.

Dithapelo Segodi, t.tv executive producer, said Hlomla made sense, and that’s why they chose him to replace Zolisa.
“Selecting Hlomla as our new Caesar was a no-brainer. It just makes sense. As a broadcaster, we are happy to have him back on the channel, and we hope our viewers are just as excited as we are,” she said.
Zolisa was announced to be leaving the show in November 2023.
At the time, the channel released a statement and confirmed that they parted ways with the actor.
“At the onset of the new season of Smoke & Mirrors, the producers of the final chapter production have come to a resolution to amicably part ways with Zolisa Xaluva.
“Zolisa has been an asset to the show in his role as Caesar Ngonyama, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavours,” the statement read.
Zolisa currently stars in Mzansi Magic’s new drama series, Code 13.
