Rapper L-Tido returned to the industry after three years of not dropping music.
The We Rollin’ hit-maker said he has been sorting out contractual issues and is happy to be back.
He dropped his EP titled Pressure last Friday.
L-Tido spoke to SunBuzz about the past three years and how it has been.
“I was sorting out contractual things. That was one of the situations. I couldn’t release music and I had to sort that out first. It was frustrating because I haven’t dropped in three years and it’s the longest period I’ve never dropped music,” said the rapper.
“My fans would always ask when they can expect music and I didn’t have an answer. Music is a way that I express myself and leaving my fans for three years without an explanation was the worst feeling ever,” said L-Tido.

The rapper shared advice for musicians who want to get into the industry.
“The funny thing is that I was doing well and was an independent artist before signing under a label. I was already pessimistic about the idea but I went with it anyway. I would advise people who are getting into the game to take their time with paperwork when they get signed. They must let their lawyers go through the contract and check everything before signing,” he said.
Pressure, has four songs and according to the rapper, it is a taste of what’s to come.
“I’m giving people the EP before I drop my album in two months. I didn’t want to drop one song because I had been gone for so long. On two of the songs I’m alone and on the other two, I feature AKA and Stogie T. The project is an intro for people to hear where I am mentally because they haven’t heard me in years. It also has different sounds.
“I can’t talk about the album yet. But I can say that I recorded over 100 songs and I don’t know which songs are going to make the album,” he said.
I need to choose which songs will be used and it’s the most difficult part. I’m coming back with hits and I believe that I made big smash hits for SA hip-hop.”
