STARS of reality show Mnakwethu: Happily Ever After have allegedly been caught in a lie.

Viewers were left outraged when Gezani Dludla introduced Sne Biyela as his girlfriend at the reunion, saying he’d marry her whether or not his wife, Sphesihle Cele, liked it.

But Sne has approached Daily Sun to reveal she was never in a romantic relationship with Gezani.

“We were pretending to be a couple. Gezani orchestrated everything and it was supposed to be our secret. Out of desperation for money, I agreed. He said I’d be paid R2 000,” she said.

“Gezani has been pushing me to start dating him. I’ve continuously rejected his advances. He wants a romantic relationship,” she said, adding that she had decided to tell the truth because of people from her church.

“I’m one of the amakhosazane, and the rules of my church don’t allow a maiden to date. My peers have been pushing me to come clean or they’d escalate the issue to elders. I was desperate for money.”

But Gezani said that they were dating.

“I never lied. She’s my girlfriend. We’ve been dating since earlier this year but we have problems.”

Producer Nthabi Thomas said she was not aware of any foul play.

Daily Sun tried to reach out to Sphesihle, but she did not respond to messages or answer her phone.
