Q: When did you buy your bike?
A: In February this year. It’s a superbike so I enjoy riding it.
Q: Is it your first bike?
A: Yes, my very first bike. I love it!
Q: Do you have a licence?
A: Yes, I have two licences – one for a car and another for a bike.
Q: What attracted you to riding?
A: The feeling of independence. Another reason is that I can glide through traffic.
The acceleration, constant adrenaline rush and alertness required to ride a superbike is exciting.
Q: What’s the difference between riding and driving?
A: In a car you are protected from the rains and collisions, and you can take your family, but on a bike, you are alone. It’s more dangerous but it provides more excitement.
Q: How often do you ride?
A: I ride three to four times a week for two hours minimum.
I am crazy about bikes. I cannot live without bikes.
Q: Do you wear gear?
A: Yes, it is very important as a rider to always own a complete set and wear it when riding.
I always wear fully protective gear whether I ride long or short distances.
On the racetrack, I wear full leather gear but while on the road, I dress in comfortable padded gear.
Q: Have you ridden far?
A: Not much – the bike is still new – but I recently rode to a Strawdog’s Rally in Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape which was 1 693km.
I am planning to ride a 1 468km trip next. This bike is great on the open road.
Q: Do you belong to a motorbike bike club?
A: I’m currently an independent rider though I sometimes ride with a few biking clubs such as Tru Few .
Q. How often to do you get traffic fines?
A: I have no traffic fines.
