SOLUTION
When items are bought on hire purchase, they are paid for in instalments.
The buyer is also paying insurance and interest, as well as service, administration and initiation fees. All these extra charges increase the balance owed to the store. It is best to buy items for cash or on lay buy to avoid all these added costs.
