THE path of entrepreneurs holds many troubles, but for varsity students, studies also get in the way.

The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation provides motivated students access to education to nurture their entrepreneurial talents.

The foundation calls all first and second year students to apply for the university’s fellowship.

First year requirements

  • An average of 65% or more for your 2018 mid-year exam results.
  • Studying toward a degree in commerce, science (excluding medicine), humanities with a major in politics, philosophy or economics, engineering or law.
  • Studying at Wits, UJ, UCT, NMU, Rhodes, UWC, Stellenbosch, UFS or UP.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 22 in their year of application.
  • Be a South African citizen.

Second-year requirements

  • An average of 65% or more for your 2017 year-end exam and 65% or more in the 2018 mid-year exam.
  • Studying toward a degree in commerce, science (excluding medicine), humanities with a major in politics, philosophy or economics, engineering or law.
  • Studying at Wits, UJ, UCT, NMU, Rhodes, UWC, Stellenbosch, UFS or UP.
  • Applicants should be under the age of 23 in their year of application.
