ROSEMARY Nomia Ndlovu has been found guilty of killing her relatives for insurance money.
Judge Ramarumo Monama said he was satisfied that the state had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Friday, 22 October.
The judge said he took note that Ndlovu (43) was “always seemingly the first or last to be seen with the deceased”.
The former Thembisa cop killed her sister Audrey Somisa Ndlovu, nephews Brilliant Mashego and Mayeni Mashaba, niece Zanele Motha, cousin Witness Madala Homu and her boyfriend Yingwani Maurice Mabasa. This was all to cash in on their life and funeral policies.
She was also found guilty of attempted murder of her mother Maria Mushwana, fraud and defeating the ends of justice.
The judge said on conspiracy charges, the state failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Monama also found that there was no strong evidence that she was guilty of ordering a hit on her sister Joyce Ndlovu and her five children. Instead, she was found guilty on a lesser charge of incitement.
He added that the speed with which the killer launched the claims after her relatives were killed, corroborated the evidence by the hired hitman Njabulo Kunene that she always promised to pay them once the insurance claims had paid out.
The judge said Ndlovu failed to dispute evidence put to her and “when pressed with tough questions about the events, the accused started dancing around like a cat on a hot tin roof”.
She received 28 insurance payouts, totalling R1,4 million, from the claims.
Ndlovu had pleaded not guilty to all 20 charges.
Her killing spree came to an end when she was arrested on 7 March 2018, after an undercover cop recorded her telling the hitmen how to kill Joyce and her children.
The matter was postponed to 5 November for sentencing.
