COPS in Pudimoe, North West, have rearrested four suspects who had escaped from custody.
According to Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, it is alleged that the escapees were rearrested on Thursday, 25 November, after law-abiding citizens alerted cops to them.
“Three escapees are Lesotho nationals while one is a South African. At the time of the escape, Thabo Pita (24) and Lekhoa Methola (44) were held as undocumented persons and awaiting deportation.
“Thabo Mokwena (46) and Thabo Edward Bankies (31) were facing charges of robbery and attempted murder,” Mokgwabone said.
All suspects were expected to appear in the Schweizer- Reneke Magistrates Court on Monday.

Meanwhile, cops were still working hard to trace and rearrest the remaining five suspects who escaped from custody after overpowering police on Friday, 12 November.
The suspects are Refuoe Zwakala (30), Lebogang Makume (31), Isaac Polanka Ramotsapi (35), Lebajwa Raphael Sewete (29) and Thabiso Bereng (34).
Makume was facing a charge of aggravated robbery while the remaining four were in detention as undocumented persons and awaiting deportation.
