The SABC's Radio Park Building has been evacuated following a diesel leak.
Workers were evacuated after a suspected diesel leaked from the building's diesel generators.
A worker told the Daily Sun that there was no power in the building in the morning.
"Apparently they tried to get the generators working but there was a leak. A safety rep advised to leave the building and we were later told to go home," the worker said.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Shawn Herbst said multiple people who suffered chemical inhalation were taken to hospital.
"They are in stable condition," Herbst said.
Herbst said that there are people still stuck on the 17th floor.
"They tried escaping using the stairs but they couldn't because of fumes," Herbst said.
