COPS have arreasted a Limpopo man with drugs estimated at a street value of R1 million in Motetema outside Groblesdal.

Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said cops managed to track down a 34-year-old man at a rented two-roomed house which he used to manufacture assortment of drugs.

He said the suspect was caught in his sleep and apprehended on the spot.

During this arrest cops recovered 29 wrapped balls, each containing 500 sachets of Nyaope, 4 balls, each containing 250 wraps of Rocks , 6 balls each containing 100 wraps of Rock, 14  loose plastics, each with 50 sachets of Nyaope,1  packet with 25 sachets of Nyaope, one 9mm firearm with 15 rounds of ammunition, and one  Revolver firearm with 5 rounds of ammunition.

Ngoepe went on say that  in the process of arresting the man, three more suspects aged 26 and 30 were arrested after they were found in possession of dagga.

The three suspects and the suspected druglord will appear before the Groblersdal Magistrate's Court on Monday facing charges of dealing and possession of drugs and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The Saps Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Jan Scheepers has commended all members of the Provincial Crime Intelligent Unit and the  Detectives for their sterling work.
