Mahikeng is on fire.
There are reports of a total shut down, with no schools or businesses open.
Roads have been barricaded with burning tyres and stones.
The situation in Mahikeng North West is not getting any better as Anti-Supra Mahumapelo protests continues.
Residents are calling on North West premier Supra Mahumapelo to resign from his job.
The protests started on Wednesday and a car, a bus and a building were set alight.
On Thursday, it has also been reported that residents are looting spaza shops owned by foreign nationals in Mahikeng Unit 2,7 and 8.
