VETERAN actress Florence Masebe continues her fight for Mzansi actors to accrue benefits from their work by having proper regulations in place to protect them from exploitation.
She even went to parliament to make representations as to why she is adamant that the performer’s protection bill is the right step local performers.
Many actors have previously bemoaned the fact that they don’t get residual fees for their work nor do they get repeat fees.
Now the star has called on her fellow actors to support the suggestion, so that it can taken back to parliament for consideration.
Taking to her Twitter account, she wrote: Still my plea. Dear actors... Send the NCOP your views so that we can get this bill passed. If we don't speak for ourselves, the enemy lies in our names. Send an email today to [email protected] and state why you support the #PeromersAmendmentBill”.
