JOSI Chave wants to empower and nurture young talent in kasis.
The house music producer and radio personality, whose real name is Josias Matsebatlela, is from Diepkloof in Soweto.
Speaking to SunBuzz, he said his dream is to help young talented musicians reach their dreams.
He said he wants them to learn more about the music industry and the various opportunities available to them.
“I find happiness in helping young artists, especially those who are eager to learn.”
Josi Chave has been busy in studio.
He released a new single, Follow, last month.
It features soulful vocalist Andee and producer DJ Sce’ction, who’s an up-and-coming artist.
The song follows his August release Baleka, a single aimed at encouraging women to leave toxic relationships before they turn ugly.
He started deejaying at the age of 14.
His love of music saw him start his own record label, Blacknoize, in 2006.
He joined YFM in 2010 and has been spinning the decks since then.
He made a name for himself through his live mixes on Wednesdays.
He now co-hosts a dance show, Player’s Club, every Friday.
He released his first house music compilation album in 2008.
He said his fans should be on the lookout for his debut studio album, which he plans to release next year.
