Nomalanga Shozi has parted ways with Gagasi FM.

ALTHOUGH Nomalanga Shozi is making a name for herself in the TV world, this has apparently affected her radio job.

The actress, who plays the role of Nomalanga on e.tv’s Rhythm City, has been let go from KZN’s Gagasi FM.

She hosted the Flames At Night show from 10pm to 1am from Monday to Thursday.

The station’s management wouldn’t reveal why she was booted, but sources claimed: “She’s an actress on Rhythm City and a host on All Access Mzansi.

“Sometimes she couldn’t get to the Gagasi studios in time or she would fall asleep on duty.”

Gagasi spokesman Khulekani Shandu said: “The decision to part ways was reached after both parties engaged on contractual matters, taking into account Nomalanga’s growing commitments outside KZN.

“Her last appearance as Gagasi FM presenter will be at the Durban Picnic this coming Sunday, where she will be the MC.

“Gagasi FM is proud of the progress she has made in her career within a short space of time, and we’d like to wish her well in her future endeavours.”
