ACTOR Rajesh Gopie has apologised after being labelled a racist.

After seeing a video of Kaizer Chiefs fans assaulting a security guard at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, Gopie wrote on Facebook: “Yah, and the baboons like soccer too much so they want to play with human heads.” He denied being racist.

“I call the violent whites of European soccer baboons.

“The same applies to any race.”

Yesterday, thinking the guard had died, he said he was furious at people’s lack of humanity.

“I removed the post and unreservedly apologise to all for this offence.”

Tanuja Munnoo of the Human Rights Commission said they’re investigating.
