FORMER Generations actor Thami Mngqolo has welcomed a new child into his life.
He has been quietly awaiting the arrival of his second child for the past few months without sharing his news, but when his son was born on Sunday, he let the world know.
The little boy is his second child with his fiancee, former Muvhango and Rhythm City actress Jo-Anne Reyneke.
When Daily Sun spoke to Thami, he said he was over the moon because he now has a son.
The two also have a two-year-old daughter together.
“This was a good experience for us because we already have a child and we knew what to expect,” he said.
He told the People’s Paper he decided to name the baby after his father.
“His full name is Zeke Elakhe Lungelo Mngqolo,” said Thami.
The actor said he has not been in the public eye since he left Generations last year. He said he decided to try different things.
“I decided to take a break from acting for a while. However I love it so much, I couldn’t stay away from it for long. I will soon be appearing on a new Mzansi Magic drama series, Igazi,” he said.
