SITCOM Ses’Top La is returning to the small screens after a four-year break.

The new season of the show will soon be on SABC1.

Black Brain Pictures’ publicist Nyiko Bilankulu confirmed the news to the People’s Paper and shared that the show will start before the end of this year.

“We are shooting and it’s coming soon. Old cast members like Mandla N, Warren Masemola, Brenda Ngxoli and Trevor Gumbi are coming back. There will be some new faces like actress Nelisa Mchunu, who will join as Phumzile and child star Valdo as Themba’s son,” said Nyiko.

In May, Mandla spoke to Daily Sun about the return of the show and also shared that he’s excited about being in the front of the camera again.

“In this industry you can never say never. I may go back to acting soon as I may be possibly going back to Ses’Top La soon. I am excited that I’m going to be in front of the camera again,” he said.

He said he brought the show back because the SABC asked him to.

“The show’s repeats have been airing on SABC1, and people love them. Numbers were sky-high and the SABC told me people needed more. So I decided to go back to the drawing board and plan the show. I’m not sure when it will premiere,” he said.
