MUSICIAN Tshegofatso Ketshabile is mourning.
The talented rapper, who is known for the hit song Hennessy featuring Gemini Major and Cassper Nyovest, has lost his mother.
He shared the sad news on social media.
“This week has been hard for us without you, and I don’t see it getting any easier. I cannot say goodbye – instead. I will say goodnight for now. I will see you soon mom,” he said.
Tshego’s mother was a church minister, and she gave birth to him while she was in the United States of America studying.
Tshego, who also doubles as a producer, has been very open about how his mother has been supportive throughout his career and how she always encouraged him to explore his talent.
“My mom used to advise me to choose one instrument, master it first before moving to the next one but I couldn’t listen. Now I understand why and I wish I listened,” he once shared.

Tshego added that his parents are the reason he developed a love for music and eventually pursued a career in it.
“Both my parents are ordained ministers. They always played gospel in the house.
“My dad was in love with country music. It always played in the house so when I expressed my interest in music, I do not think it came as a shock to them and they supported my decision.
“Like I said, I was always a hustler, and they knew if I said I was going to do something then I was going to do everything in my power to make it happen,” he said.
Shortly after sharing the sad news, heartfelt messages of condolences poured in for the star from friends, fans and industry colleagues.
