MUSICIAN Nomcebo Zikode, who was given keys to a city in the United States of America, has revealed that her trip has come to an end.

The singer and songwriter revealed that on her last day, they hosted a farewell ceremony for her, where she was awarded with certificates and handed gifts by dignitaries.

“A farewell ceremony was held for me, where I was awarded with certificates and handed a few gifts by dignitaries from various countries, prior to my departure from Miami International Airport. This was emotional. I’m happy to have received so much love and gained many friendships on my first visit to the USA,” she said.

This comes a few weeks after the Jerusalema hitmaker revealed that she received the keys to the city from two Miami commissioners, Joe Carollo and Jeffrey Watson.

“I was declared as a distinguished visitor and presented with keys to the city. I am so grateful to receive such a prestigious welcome and see how proud they are of an artist who comes all the way from KZN, and sings in isiZulu.”
