ACTOR Muzi Mthabela grew up watching Generations and wished that one day he’d be part of it.
Now that he has joined the show, which is now known as Generations: The Legacy, it’s a dream come true for him.
Mthabela will be portraying Nkosiyabo Cele, the controversial uncle of Siphesihle Cele (Pearl Monama) on the show.
Exclusively speaking to Daily Sun, Mthabela said his role would be full of fireworks and a beautiful storyline.
He described the Cele family as wealthy, but they have problems and are used to power.
Mthabela said Nkosiyabo will give the Moroka family a hard time.
“There was a dispute between the Morokas and Sphe. So Nkosiyabo will be there to fight for Sphe and he won’t let that dispute slide. As much as he will be getting into business with the Morokas, he won’t let them get away with what they did to his niece,” said Mthabela.

He said joining Generations: The Legacy brings a combination of different feelings like nervousness and excitement.
“I grew up watching the show when there were still legends like Archie Moroka (played by Sello Maake kaNcube). This show is one of the biggest in Mzansi and being part of it, for me as an actor, is achieving something big in my life,” said Mthabela.
Mthabela said he resigned from Imbewu: The Seed where he played the charming and ladies man Menzi.
He said the main reason he resigned is because he wanted to spend more time with his family in Joburg.
“I was working in Durban and my family stays in Joburg. I’d see my family once or twice a month. So as a family man, I decided to resign from Imbewu. I explained my decision to the producers and they understood. The reports that stated that I left Imbewu on a sour note were untrue. I’m not that kind of a person who leaves work in a bad manner,” said Mthabela.
He is expected to start appearing on 16 December in Generations: The Legacy and will be last seen in the middle of December in Imbewu, which is aired on e.tv.
