FANS have been asking whether award-winning house duo Black Motion has reached the end of the road.
This comes after the release of the CD sleeve of their upcoming album, The Healers: The Last Chapter.
The two, percussionist Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane and Robert “Murdah” Mohosana, hit the scene in 2010 with their first single Banane Movoko.
Since then, they’ve had hit after hit and released six popular albums with their special style of producing.
Their album Ya Badimo even got them a huge deal with Sony Music to be distributed worldwide.
For their 10-year anniversary, they recently announced they’d be releasing The Healers: The Last Chapter.
Although their fans were happy to hear they’d be getting new music, many were confused as to whether the title meant the two would be going their separate ways.
A Twitter user cleared the air and said the duo had been performing separately for a while now.
“They’ve been performing separately, so take a wild guess.”
The news of their alleged separation didn’t sit well with fans. A Twitter user wrote: “Please explain what you mean by the last chapter, cause if it means you guys are splitting that has been rejected, resolve whatever you guys are going through.”
Another said: “The Last Chapter of the decade. I hope that’s what you mean, otherwise there should be more chapters.”
Some went as far as saying they would start a petition asking the two to stay together.
“You guys are not splitting, we’ll sign a petition if we have to, even cause a commotion if we have to,” wrote a Twitter user.
Contacted by the SunTeam, the duo’s booking manager Tshiamo Pooe said they were not doing any interviews.
