DESPITE the police arresting a man suspected to be behind the recent spike robberies on the N4 Highway in Tshwane last week, the incidents have continued.

Popular Tshwane DJ and Metro FM host Lamiez Holworthy is the latest victim.

Lamiez tweeted in the early hours of Monday morning, 19 April, that her two tyres have been spiked on the N4 and that people should be careful while using the route.

Lamiez tweeted: “Tyres messed because of a spiked object in the fast lane on the N4. Thank God I was able to control the car and also wasn’t too far from a filling station. Please be careful and extra vigilant on the N4.”

In trying to learn more about the incident, Daily Sun contacted Lamiez’s manager who said they needed time to try and make sense of it.

Lamiez’s manager, Imelda Klow, told the People’s Paper they were not ready to talk about the incident.

She asked for some time for the star to deal with what happened to her before they could comment on it.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of metal spikes used by thugs on the N4 to destroy motorists’ tyres and forcing them to stop so they could rob them.
