MEDIA personality Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarhonyane has apologised to actress Amanda Du Pont for “the humiliation and hurt” he caused her.
The apology comes days after his interview with controversial podcaster MacG where he said that he “smashed” Amanda and his words left a bitter taste in the mouths of many.
Jub Jub said he had time to reflect and re-watch the interview with MacG and he realised that he was wrong.
“In the aftermath of the release of my interview with MacG, I have taken some time to rewatch the interview and reflect on my words, specifically my exchange with Mac G regarding Ms Amanda du Pont. It was inappropriate for me to discuss the intimate details of my relationship with Ms Du Pont in public.
“I deeply regret the incident. I wish to apologise unreservedly to Amanda for the humiliation and hurt I caused her,” the statement reads.

However, the rapper has kept mum on the rape accusation, except to say he would let the law take its course.
“With regard to the accusations levelled against me by Amanda and others, I have decided to make room for the law to take its course,” the statement concludes.
Ever since the interview aired on Channel O, a lot has happened including the rapper being suspended as the presenter of Moja Love’s flagship show Uyajola 9/9.
According to Moja Love, they decided to suspend him because as a channel they don’t condone any gender-based violence in any way and under any circumstances.
The rapper has decided to take legal action against Amanda Du Pont, Masechaba Khumalo, Refilwe Khumalo and Bonokuhle Nkala.
This is after the first three women claimed Jub Jub raped them and that Bonokuhle was a witness of him abusing Amanda.
