WELL-KNOWN DJ and producer Chymamusique, whose real name is Collen Mmotla, is set to be one of the DJs to headline the Balfour Social Market, this Saturday, 18 December at Balfour Town, Mpumalanga.

He will be joined by other seasoned DJs such as Vinny Da Vinci and June Jazzin.

The award-winning DJ told SunBuzz the event aims to help local businesspeople with their businesses.

“It is, however, also about having fun. Bring your family out to have a blast and spend time together. The market is also open to kids during the day, so it’s a family event.

“People must come through and enjoy themselves,” he said.

“People must expect some songs that have been a big deal in the country this year. I will also play music that people haven’t heard before, some new material that I recently worked on. Most importantly though, I’ll be playing music from my new album, Musique, so people who are coming should get ready to dance to some good music,” he said.

His album, Musique, was released in September and he said it has been received well by his fans.

“The album is getting so much love. It’s a soulful album with 12 songs and it features musicians like Brian Temba, Afrotraction, Dustinho, Mlindos, DJ Tears PLK and a lot more others. I worked with a lot of people locally and internationally,” he said.

Chymamusique said he’ll tour for the album next year. “The album tour will start next year. I just want people to listen to it for now, then we’ll start the tour.”
