LANGA was one of the most loved characters on Mzansi Magic’s Gomora, and when he died viewers were devastated.

Siya Xaba is moving on to bigger and better things.

“I’m going behind the scenes now. There’s a project I’m directing and I’ve always wanted to direct. The bug bit me in 2017 when I directed a feature film,” he said.

The 22-year-old said he started his career at the age of nine when he appeared on children’s shows.

“I’ve been here for a while and to have been on Gomora was a blessing for me. Working with Katlego Danke was amazing,” he said.

“She balances fun and professionalism very well. I wish I could work with her again.”

He was grateful for the love and support he got while playing Langa.

“I’d like to say thank you to everyone who supported me. I’m really grateful for the love I received. This is not the end for me,” he said.

Siya said he’d be creating a lot of content for TV, but he didn’t rule out the possibility of appearing in front of the camera again.

“I definitely will be back on screen but I want to focus more on behind the screen for now,” he said.
