I'm not a taxi driver! These are the words of stylist, Bontlefeela following a misunderstanding over a picture.

The fashion lover, whose real name is Bontlefeela Mogoye, was addressing people on social media, who thought she was a taxi driver when she took and posted picture of herself in the driver's seat of a taxi.

Bontlefeela candidly posted the picture with the caption: "Being a taxi driver is nie pap n vleis. Respect", followed by a series of clips of her driving with two companions. Soon after that a Facebook friend of hers posted the same picture captioned: "Her name is Bontlefela... Taxi driver with a sense of fashion. Magheza o skoon. She ranks between Fourways and Sandton. Never be ashamed of your hustle coz No one is gonna feed you." It went viral after that.

Now the joke has caught fire and more people are sharing the post and assuming that she is a taxi driver. She was driving the car while sourcing for a shoot she was styling on Wednesday.

But, the former major in the South African Military Health Services - turned fashion stylist and wardrobe consultant, told Daily Sun that although she is not a taxi driver, she is happy at the reception. She said that women were inspired by her picture, and as a former major in the army she is happy that many women want to occupy spaces which were previously known to be reserved for men.

The fashion creative from Maokeng, Kroonstad in the Free State, said her picture made her realize that there is a huge demand for female taxi drivers.

Bontlefeela said she used the Quantum because it was easier to transport her equipment and clothes when she has shoots, “I also work for Makgale Tours where I handle their marketing hence I also use the quantum. I would like to urge women to go and find opportunities and there are plenty out there."

She has styled the likes of Cassper Nyovest and Thembi Seete among others.
