creatives are in luck as the Night Embassy by Jagermeister is searching for the four most exciting creative minds from Jozi’s nightlife communities.
The campaign, which kicked off in Berlin, Germany in 2019 and then went to Moscow, Russia digitally will now launch in Africa with this Joburg edition.
It will provide funding, production and mentorship to creative people or collectives to make their ideas come to life.
Jagermeister experiential manager Bea Theron told Daily Sun, said they were excited about the four up-and-coming African Night Embassy experiences to come from the chosen entries.
“Night Embassy Joburg is about to open its doors across four urban locations, and we want to embark on this journey with you and your community.
“Parties, installations, poetry, dance, street wear, design and all conceptual art that comes to life at night – the only limit at the Night Embassy is your imagination,” she said.

According to the organisers, applications will be judged and selected by a creative board of five of Jozi’s most influential nightlife and culture pioneers.
These are event producer, business strategist and venue owner Theresho Selesho, designer, artist and creative director Jana Hamman, DJ and content creator Lelowhatsgood whose real name’s Ntsikelelo Meslani, skate scene pioneer Day Day Marumo and talent management agency owner Thuli Keupzz.
Theron said these mentors would educate, inspire and support successful applicants and help them develop, as well as prepare their entire event programme to be showcased during four residency weeks in November.
She shared that Night Embassy drew inspiration from their brand’s heritage of perfectionism and the creativity of the early 90s Berlin’s nightlife and art scenes.
“Jagermeister welcomes artists from any background, age and level of experience. The Night Embassy is open to all bold thinkers committed to going from creative concept to creation. These selected projects shine a light on possibilities for our future nightlife and foster a strong sense of local community,” she said.
Theron said following four residency weeks, they will close with the biggest underground party Jozi has ever seen on 10 and 11 December.
