HIS family says he witnessed a murder in 2020.
And Siyabonga Malo (30) was willing to come forward to testify, but he disappeared days before the trial started.
His parents believe that his disappearance had something to do with the case.

His father, John Malo, said one of his friends, who was with him on the day he vanished, came to tell them that he saw him getting into a silver car that had stopped in front of them as they were walking at Everest squatter camp in Springs, Ekurhuleni.
He said that was the last time he was seen by the said friend on 12 September 2020.
His mother, Nobantu Malo, from Paynesville, believes that her son is no longer alive as he came to her in a dream to tell her that he was in a happy place and she should stop crying. But his parents have said they would only find closure once they find his remains.
“My wife is still crying. We pray that the people who left with him on that day come forward to tell us where they buried my son.”
John said that even after his disappearance, the case against the three suspects he was going to testify against still continued.
“They were sentenced earlier this year. We don’t know if they know something. We appeal to anyone who has information to come forward.”

He further said after getting information about his son leaving with men in a silver car, Springs police were informed but they did nothing. A missing persons case was opened more two years ago.
Sergeant Themba Tshabalala confirmed that a missing persons case was opened.
