THE past weekend was dark for several families in Gauteng who made their way to the Diepkloof Mortuary in Soweto to identify the bodies of their loved ones who died in the Joburg CBD fire which claimed the lives of 77 people.  

More than 61 people were treated at various medical facilities in and around Joburg.

But for Gauteng woman Ethel Jack, the heavens let out a light of hope as her brother was offered another chance at life.
