THE tragic death of two children has deeply divided a couple, leaving them at a painful crossroads.

Daily Sun previously reported on Clement Mokomane (46), whose life was shattered following the death of his children seven years ago.

Daily Sun has learned that investigation into the children's deaths is almost complete, yet Clement has been left without updates, even from the children's mother.

Reabetswe (6) and Omphile Mabogwana (4) lost their lives in August 2017 while playing near a malfunctioning electricity box.

The tragedy has since caused Clement's marriage to collapse under the strain of grief.

This led to job loss and inability to live in his own home due to haunting memories of his children.

Speaking to Daily Sun on Monday, 6 May, Clement expressed his frustration at being excluded from the investigation process.

"Since our separation, I've had no communication with the children's mum. I'm completely in the dark," he said.

Clement has sought assistance from various lawyers, who initially took statements from both him and the children's mother. However, communication has ceased over time.

"My calls are now ignored, and it seems my number has been blocked," he said.

Following the initial publication of the story under the headline: "WATCH: Seven years later, father still in tears," City Power responded, indicating the investigation was about to be concluded.

"Investigation into the tragic incident involving Alexandra siblings Reabetswe and Omphile Mabogwana in 2017 is nearing its end," said City Power spokeswoman Tumi Mashishi.

Mashishi also mentioned that City Power's lawyers have been in contact with the mother of the kids, who has legal representation.

"Given the legal proceedings between City Power and the mother, we can't disclose further details at this time," she said.

Upon learning of this development, Clement was shocked, having received no information from the children's mother.

Daily Sun attempted to contact her, but she declined to discuss the matter, saying, "I'm not speaking to anyone. I'm not ready to speak about this incident."
