CONTENT creator Tadeus is coming into the entertainment industry with all he’s got.
He started on TikTok, making funny videos, then ventured into radio presenting and music, and now, he got a debut acting role.
He'll be starring as Nkosana Chauke on Queendom, BET’s upcoming drama series that starts on Monday, 22 April.
Tadeus, whose real name is Siboniso Mbatha (22), said social media, especially TikTok, paved the way for him, and he’s grateful.
“TikTok was my preparation because I’ve always known that acting is what I wanted to do. Funny story, as a young kid, I used to imagine that there were cameras watching me all the time. That’s why I was always so dramatic. I performed for the camera. With TikTok, I used it as a catalyst,” he said.

The funny TikToker said he was meant to be in the entertainment industry because it followed him even though his parents didn’t want it.
“My parents told me very early that they weren’t sending me to school to study anything entertainment related. So, I studied something totally different and very academic. But with TikTok, I thought, let me use this to sort of show this talent that I have, and God has been so great.
“And I’m grateful that my first role is on such a big platform. It’s all about learning for me. I listen to what the directors say and try to understand what they mean so I can learn from them,” he said.
However, it took time to sink in that he was cast on the show.
“I take time to process things. When I was on set the first time, I just thought, "oh this is cute." I always say if someone were to kill me, I’d die a month later because I’d still be processing it. When I got home that day, it hit me that I was on set with Sindi Dlathu, Samkelo Ndlovu and all these actors. So, I’m truly grateful all the time. The transition from TikTok has been so great,” he said.
