AMERICAN actress Tayana Taylor is excited that there will be a black Jesus and black Mary Magdalene on TV screens.

She's part of the cast of the biblical movie, The Book of Clarence, which was produced by American rapper Jay-Z and will make its African debut on DStv Box Office on 4 April.

Teyana (33), who plays black Mary Magdalene, said she thinks this story is special because to see it black is amazing.
